In a letter to the Liberal International, ElAdI Party urges the liberal democratic members of the European Parliament to mobilize all capacities in achieving an immediate and enduring ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

Appealing with a deep sense of ethical responsibility, the party implored the world federation of liberal and progressive democratic parties to mobilize all capacities to achieve an immediate and lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Party’s Foreign Relations Secretariat, in a special letter to Mrs. Hakima Elhaité , President of the Liberal International, stated that this war on Gaza is the culmination of 75 years of occupation, struggle, and blockade, preventing essential necessities from entering Gaza, leading to a famine for ordinary Palestinians.

This war has claimed the lives of civilians of both nations. No side will ever be able to enjoy peaceful living conditions under these circumstances. If these atrocities persist, the region will face unprecedented instability and crises.

ElAdl also urged the Liberal International to encourage its member parties, represented in the European Parliament, to collaborate with all involved parties and put an end to these atrocities during the upcoming plenary session of the European Parliament from January 15th to 18th.

We also call on all member parties of the LI, whether represented in their national governments or legislative bodies, to officially support a ceasefire, alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
